Handbook
A Week of Accompanied Prayer: Handbook for Co-ordinators has now been reprinted and is available at a cost of £7.00 (including UK post and packing). About the Handbook
The Week offers a rare opportunity to be affirmed in prayer and experience new or different ways of praying. Amended over the years (present edition c.1998), it provides non-directive guidance for accompaniers and pilgrims in the ethos of Llysfasi.
The Week of Accompanied Prayer brings the retreat experience to the people, where they live, so that they may have the experience of being accompanied in prayer whilst continuing the routine of everyday life. Pilgrims agree to spend half-an-hour in prayer each day and meet with a prayer companion each day for up to half-an-hour at the venue chosen for the week. It also provides full practical details of the preparation and ongoing organisation advisable for the success of the week.
